Here, there, and everywhere

{edit} Internet is Working, so here are some pictures!
Behold the Sego Lily. The State of Utah's flower. They are beautiful, and edible, but I've never tried them. Legend is that the pioneers ate them to survive on the prairie.

My mom being so brave! Her horse, Society, stepped on her toe. She's soaking it in cool stream water to keep the swelling down.

Me wincing after getting stinging nettle during a photo shoot of some flowers. I always get into trouble when I go into the wild brush to take pictures of rare foliage.
My daddy looking so swell in his ostrich cowboy boots and cowboy hat.

My beautiful sisters! We made a music video, that will be uploaded shortly.

Me, Megan Many-Faces. We relearned the meaning of that nickname this trip. ;)

The deer that came up right by the deck!

Cowgirl sisters!

Ah, the view is beautiful! I love riding horses.

Okay, now the blog post:

I just keep wondering if I'm ever going to be sorted out quite right.

I'm here,

and there,

and everywhere.

I wanted to post some lovely pictures of my vacation but alas, my laptop isn't getting wi-fi today. It's like Peter Pan, lost its shadow. After 4 days of no internet, I'm DYING to get on! I'm such a tech nerd, and I'm so addicted. Right now I'm on my grandma's computer, which somehow is blessed with internet connection.

I left my make-up and brush and scriptures up at the cabin. Luckily my family is bringing them down for me. I'll see them on Saturday, we're all running the 24th of July 10k.

Everything is crazy, and I can barely keep up with everything. Looks like I'm not going to be failing my English class after all, though. I have a lot of work to redeem myself though.

I love the cabin. It is so romantic. I want to take the love of my life up there someday, and we'll ride horses here and there and everywhere, all around the valley. Now that I'm back in SLC, I'm bitter about all things love and romance; I'm back to normal! I just don't know what I want, actually.

Okay, now I'm going to go make myself some avocado toast.

Serve, Love, Work

Church church church! Always makes me feel better!

This brother from our high counsel spoke. He was really old; he had white hair. I loved his talk! Not going to lie, at times it is nice to have an older speaker in the singles' ward. He was so sweet, and I've decided I want to marry a man like him. I want to grow old with someone like that.

My grade might not be so dire; my professor is showing some mercy.

After work, I'm headed off to this place :

See y'all later, and wish me luck that the Kamas library will have internet so I can get my homework in!

Back in Whack

Hiking Adam's canyon. On the way down the canyon I fell and scraped myself up. But I'm okay; the only thing that broke was my sunglasses. (But they were such nice glasses...) I love nature, and boy is it warming up. Birds everywhere, green leaves, perfect weather.

I've been so busy lately, and I love it. In the past few days, I have been doing:

Homework, dates, long phone calls, cleaning, getting a job in order at the Daily Utah Chronicle (YAY! :D), getting the whole family history from grandma, learning to cook, reading, practicing piano again, working out... the list goes on and on.

I went to Red Butte and the Monument yesterday. I really want to be a pioneer. I think I'll volunteer there next summer if I'm in the city for the summer. We'll see.

I'm on a role, and I'm so glad to be back in whack again.

New Look, Old Story

Holy Whoa has a new look!

I am not completely satisfied with it yet. I don't know if I just have to get used to it, or what. I always feel bad about changing it, as if my readers will show up and not recognize it and leave or something... but that's not really true.

Why is the blog called Holy Whoa? You might wonder. Wondering is good. But I'll tell you.

One day it just fell out of my mouth! And the phrase of excitement and wonder stuck! I have not been saying it recently, but I need to get back into the habit, because I love that phrase.

p.s. Today was a good day, even though it had no right to be. I believe in these kinds of days.

My Thankful List

Some things I am thankful for:

I am thankful for Jesus Christ, His atonement, His Gospel, and His light, enough said. If you want to learn more about what I believe click here.

I am thankful for my family, because we have fun times while being somehow involved in fifty thousand extracurricular activities at once.

I am thankful for my friends who support me, make me laugh, and tell me that I am too crazy for my own good.

I am grateful that I can go to school, even though sometimes I want to quit because it is expensive and difficult. I’m so lucky to be able to go to college. It really is a wonderful opportunity.

I am grateful my ancestors that sacrificed so I could have a good life. I’m a wimp. I can’t barely walk to institute three blocks away, let alone walk across the plains.

I am thankful to be alive and healthy.

I’m so grateful for the countless times I’ve lost some belonging of mine and some kind soul honestly returns to me.

I am grateful for nature and beautiful things because life would be dreary otherwise. They remind me that the world is a good place, overall.

I am thankful for Ramen Noodles because they are easy to make and always satisfy.

I am thankful for the Beatles, whose music makes my soul very happy.

I am thankful that my fish, Cyrano de Bergerac, is still alive and swimming after all the involuntary fasts I have unintentionally put him through.

I am so glad I have a computer (and the internet) that allows me to be addicted to Facebook and other such sites and that help me procrastinate.

I am grateful for grammar because even though it seems complicated, it makes it so we can understand each other. It is also a tool used by English teachers everywhere to strike fear in the hearts of their students. I’m so glad it’s my obsession.

I’m grateful for my phone. I love texting and calling people.

I’m thankful for my Titan Blanket. I can sleep anywhere as long as the SHS Titan blanket is around me.

I’m thankful for Harry Potter and all the amazing fans I can count on meeting where ever I go. The other day my friends and I formed the Dumbledore’s Army of Utah. You can join the group on Facebook if you want.

I’m so grateful to the kind souls who drive the shuttles around campus. As I mentioned before, I am wimp, and the campus is pretty much a city of its own.

I am so grateful for socks! They’re miraculous. You put them on your feet but they make your entire body warm.
